Bookstagram Posts
In the summer of 2020, I started @nats_booknook as a way to share my love for all things books.
By posting book reviews, highlighting independent bookstores, and spotlighting Little Free Libraries, I hope to inspire others to pursue their literary interests.
Behind the Books
For my Bookstagram posts, I write reviews of titles that interest me. I tend to choose books from the following genres: contemporary fiction, historical fiction, poetry, and memoir. I check out what the current bestsellers are in The San Francisco Chronicle and what’s been chosen for Reese’s Book Club on Instagram. I also select books by perusing bookstores and seeing which titles and covers draw me in. Some of my favorite authors are Sally Rooney, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Kristin Hannah, Ann Patchett, and Jodi Picoult – I’ll read just about anything they write. My top three books of all time are All The Light We Cannot See, Normal People, and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
I believe that books have the power to transport us to other worlds, acting as an escape from the everyday humdrum of our lives. But they can also pull our lives into sharper focus and help us understand ourselves better. I believe that there’s nothing like reading a good book – and I’m here to give you all my recommendations.
