Bookstagram Posts

In the summer of 2020, I started @nats_booknook as a way to share my love for all things books.

By posting book reviews, highlighting independent bookstores, and spotlighting Little Free Libraries, I hope to inspire others to pursue their literary interests.

Behind the Books

For my Bookstagram posts, I review titles that interest me, typically choosing from these genres: contemporary fiction, historical fiction, poetry, and memoir. I pay close attention to the current bestsellers listed in The San Francisco Chronicle and the selections in Reese’s Book Club on Instagram. While perusing bookstores, I look for titles and covers that draw me in. A few favorite authors are Sally Rooney, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Kristin Hannah, Ann Patchett, and Jodi Picoult – I’ll read just about anything they write. My top three books of all time are All The Light We Cannot See, Normal People, and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.

Books have the power to transport us to other worlds, allowing escape from the everyday beats of our lives. But they can also pull our lives into sharper focus and help us understand ourselves better. There is nothing like reading a good book – and I’m here to give you all my recommendations!
